- Browser Extension Data: Scraped text, experience details, and URLs of jobs or profiles that you explicitly import using the companion Chrome Extension.
- Device & Notification Data: Web push subscription endpoints, cryptographic keys, and browser user-agents used to send notifications.
- Email Preferences: Your communication language preference, per-category email opt-in status, and a log of emails sent to your address.
2. How We Use Your Data
The primary purpose of data collection is to facilitate accurate job matching. We use your data to:
- Create and maintain your user profile and role within the platform.
- Generate semantic text embeddings of your experiences or job postings.
- Provide AI-powered insights, capability matching, and gap analysis for career opportunities.
- Extension Synchronization: Authenticating your extension session via cookies and synchronizing scraped jobs or profiles directly to your account.
- Push Notifications: Delivering real-time match recommendations, feed updates, and CV readiness notifications directly to your device.
- Email Communications: Sending job feed digests, onboarding guidance, and career nudges based on your opt-in preferences. You can unsubscribe from any category at any time via your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email.
3. AI Processing & Third Parties
Important Notice on Artificial Intelligence
By using our core matching features, you acknowledge that your resume content and job descriptions are transmitted to Google's Gemini API for Large Language Model processing and embedding generation.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share necessary text data with our AI foundation model providers (e.g., Google Gemini) exclusively for the purpose of running the extraction and matching algorithms required by our service.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your data is stored on secure PostgreSQL databases equipped with vector search capabilities. Authentication and session management are securely handled via Clerk.
